Enjoy my Art. It comes from my heart.
I just realized the picture above needs more dark, darks, I think the tones are too flat. But I am totally digging doing these Photoshop Gratitude Pictures. I am trying to learn how to do it, and it is getting easier, but I have a long way to go! But I guess that is what being an artist is all about. Practicing, and learning, and exploring, and trying new things to master new techniques. Sometimes I get frustrated, because I am not as good as I want to be, but if I put in the time, I can see that I am getting better. I have to earn my mastery, so when I get frustrated, for example in the rock face above, I breathe, and say baby steps. Every artist has to make about a million pieces of bad art, to really master. So, there you go. Those are my thoughts on the above picture. I branched out and used some texture brushes. I will have to keep branching out, and being brave to try new things.
This is a watercolor on Arches Watercolor Paper. I used ink, watercolor, and a micron 05 pen. I used genius scan to scan it in, and then just saved it without digitizing it as a jpeg.
The character for Pretty in Mandarin Chinese. I have started up with my Chinese character study again, today I practiced the word pretty. So here you go. I am also learning how to do GIF’s on Skillshare from Jamie Bartlett’s Hand Lettered Gifs class. It has been fun, I am still trying to figure out how to make them less pixelated. I am such a beginner, but it is fun.
